Reclink Australia is the only national not for profit organisation delivering sport, recreation and arts opportunities to people experiencing marginalisation or disadvantage, providing inclusive and joyful programs to support communities and improve physical health, mental health and social inclusion.

We partner and collaborate with support service organisations and sector networks to strengthen social engagement, connections and pathways within local communities, creating opportunities for people to build supportive relationships and reduce loneliness.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator in our Regional West & Central Victoria team, the Sports Coach is responsible for coordinating and delivering sport and recreation and programs in Bendigo, focussed on Reclink’s established Victorian Football League program in the region.

Reclink Australia works to support disadvantaged and isolated individuals, by fostering inclusion and creating opportunities for connection. The organisation is dedicated to positive health and wellbeing outcomes for our participants.

The hours available for this casual role are 7.5 per week, until 01 October 2025, with the opportunity to extend based on funding.

Please note that for the right candidate, this role can be flexible with part-time hours arranged if preferred.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role you will need:

A qualification from (or studying towards) a recognised TAFE, College or University in Community Services, Sport and Recreation, or a similar discipline.

Demonstrated experience in direct program delivery or coaching in sport and recreation, community development or a similar area.

Awareness of the issues faced by marginalised target groups.

Commitment to working respectfully with individuals and groups from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Experience working effectively within community networks.

Demonstrated ability to, with minimal supervision, work constructively and harmoniously in a team.

Sound time management and organisational skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrate commitment to the safety of children, young people and adults.

This is a casual role (or potential for a part-time arrangement) with the working day preferrable on Wednesdays commencing as soon as possible, from May through to October 2025, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
