Continuous expansion has created an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our WHS & T initiatives.
Working within the WHS & T team, this role will be responsible for supporting the Site Supervisors with all aspects WHS & T. This position is critical to the Company's focus on Health, Safety and Training, offering a unique chance to enhance your skills and progress your career. It will ideally suit a graduate with 1 to 2 years operational experience, preferably in the mining industry, together with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.
A requirement travel by car and/or plane across various sites within Australia on an 8 days on : 6 days off roster.
Responsibilities
Partner with operational leaders to drive the right activity and behaviours needed to achieve WHS & T goals;
Provide guidance and support to operational leaders, drill crews and office talent to ensure WHS & T outcomes are met;
Foster ongoing positive relationships with all stakeholders, clients and suppliers.
Provide guidance on the management of W H S & T traineeships, training requirements and standards within Webdrill;
Implement and maintain Webdrill’s safety management system;
Coordinate and/or assist with injury management cases and incident investigations when required. Experience with ICAM is highly desirable;
Develop, facilitate and/or participate in risk assessments when required;
Support mental health concerns among the work group and actively promote mental health and wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with our EAP partner;
Assist with the Safety Management system reviews and periodic audits;
Keep up to date with changes to legislation and industry standards, and assist with implementation of any change;
Conduct site safety inspections and audits;
Assist with the establishment of site safety registers;
Participate in site safety meetings and toolbox meetings;
Assist with the review and establishment of SWP's and JHA's;
Identify safety risks and assist with prevention and solutions.
Essential Requirements
1 to 2 years experience in operational WHS & T, preferably in the mining industry
Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety (mandatory minimum)
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
(HLTAID001) Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, (HLTAID002) Provide Basic Life Support and (HLTAID003) Provide First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
Valid C Class driver's licence (Manual)
Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
Advanced computer skills
Confidence and ability to work with various stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to organise and manage demands and priorities
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
