About the role

Hampton Park Primary School is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team on a contract basis, working 1 day per week. In this role, you will provide essential occupational therapy services to support the school's diverse student population.

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs

Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to help students achieve their goals

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support

Provide training and guidance to school staff on supporting students with occupational therapy needs

Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school and professional standards

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of occupational therapy services

What we're looking for

Qualified Occupational Therapist with a current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective intervention plans

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address students' needs

Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for supporting the growth and development of students
