About the role

We are seeking a dedicated part-time / Casual Domestic / Laundry and Cleaning professional to join our team at the Star of the Sea Aged Care facility in Wallaroo, SA 5556. This hands-on role is crucial in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our residents and the overall presentation of our facility.

What you'll be doing

Performing daily cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitizing throughout the facility

Undertaking laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding and distributing clean linens and residents' personal items

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation in all areas of the facility

Identifying and reporting any maintenance or repair issues

Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols

Providing a welcoming and friendly service to residents, visitors and colleagues

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar domestic or cleaning role, ideally within an aged care or healthcare setting

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Good physical fitness and stamina to complete manual tasks

Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor

Understanding of and commitment to infection control and workplace health and safety practices

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
