About the role

Star of the Sea Aged Care facility is seeking a full-time / Part - time or Casual Registered Nurse - Aged Care Residential to join their dedicated team in Wallaroo, SA 5556. In this crucial role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to our elderly residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

What you'll be doing

Delivering comprehensive nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualised care plans

Administering medications and treatments in accordance with residents' needs and medical orders

Monitoring residents' health and well-being, and promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care and improve resident outcomes

Providing emotional support and engaging residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life

Maintaining accurate and detailed records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

What we're looking for

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Extensive experience in aged care nursing, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of elderly residents

Excellent clinical skills, including medication management, wound care, and palliative care

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and empathetic approach

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Proficient in using electronic medical records and other relevant software
