About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant - ITR Specialist to join our dynamic team at Satori Advisory. We are based in Noosa, however this full-time role (or 4 days) is open to the best candidate, even if living interstate. We are searching for an expert tax specialist with the right communication skills to help support our national client base.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and review complex individual tax returns (ITRs) for our financial services client base

Support our leaders with strategic tax planning and advice

Speak directly to clients, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other stakeholders as required

Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations

Support a full rebuild of the tax return process in a tech leveraged environment

What we're looking for

The Mindset

A Change Maker - Our recruit will have strong views on the way the individual tax return process can be re-designed by leveraging tech to enhance the client experience.

People First - Our recruit will understand the pain/friction points for the client in the tax return process and make decisions which enhance the experience.

The Capability

5+ years' experience as a tax accountant, with a strong focus on individual tax returns

Excellent technical knowledge of Australian taxation laws and regulations - We want to know that you have a strong grasp of CGT and Australian tax residency issues

Proven ability to manage a diverse client portfolio and deliver high-quality tax advice

Strong communication skills - we are looking for an advisor that can see every matter from the client's point of view and respond accordingly

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field, or membership of a professional accounting body (e.g. CPA, CA) is required.
