Job Summary:
As a Senior Tax Accountant at Accura Group, you will play a crucial role in providing expert tax advisory and compliance services to our diverse client base. You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and management to analyse tax-related information, identify opportunities for tax savings, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and provide strategic tax planning advice. The ideal candidate will possess deep tax knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality tax services. This role is also available on a part–time or full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee tax engagements for a portfolio of clients, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
Perform in-depth tax research, analysis, and interpretation of applicable laws, regulations, and rulings.
Identify and implement tax planning strategies to optimise client tax positions and minimise tax liabilities.
Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Assist clients with tax audits, inquiries, and other tax-related matters, serving as a primary point of contact with tax authorities.
Stay updated on emerging tax laws and regulations, industry trends, and best practices to provide proactive and effective tax advice.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA certification is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
Deep knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including proficiency in tax research tools and software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Proficiency in tax software (currently Handisoft, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
