Job Opportunity: Venue Security Supervisor – Melbourne CBD

On Guard Security is a trusted provider of high-quality security services across Melbourne. We are currently seeking a Security Supervisor to join our team at Billboard / 170 Russell, a prominent live music and nightlife venue located in the heart of the CBD.

This is a permanent casual position, with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week. The venue operates regular club nights and live music events, including weekends and public holidays.

We’re looking for a professional, proactive, and experienced individual who is ready to take the next step in their security career. There is opportunity for growth within the company, including potential involvement in broader operational responsibilities across On Guard Security.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of 10–14 security personnel

Manage nightly operations, including patron screening and judgement-based entry

Write detailed incident and night summary reports

Monitor and navigate CCTV systems and patron scanning

Prepare staff rosters and end-of-week timesheets

Fortnightly venue meetings

Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Lead by example and train/develop team members

Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service

Requirements:

Valid Victorian Security Licence

Previous supervisory and door selection experience

Strong conflict resolution and communication skills

Professional, positive attitude with a customer-first approach

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (including New Year’s Eve)
