About the Opportunity
Tocal College is seeking a dynamic and strategic College Business Manager to lead our teams delivering comprehensive administrative, security, and domestic services functions. This temporary full-time role is pivotal to the effective operation of Tocal and its enterprises, including the CB Alexander Foundation (CBAF), Tocal Field Days and Numeralla Egg Farm.
In this role, no two days will be the same. You will lead multiple teams to support delivery of quality agricultural education and enable opportunities for visitors and the community to participate, and experience Tocal’s unique cultural heritage and environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial health of Tocal College and its enterprises, ensuring sustainability through effective planning and revenue strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the CB Alexander Foundation’s goals to drive growth and service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with ASQA, AASB, ACNC, and ATO regulations, and prepare necessary reports for stakeholders.
- Oversee finances, payroll, and records for the Tocal Field Days Association and CB Alexander Foundation, while supporting secure operations and assisting the Foundation Secretary.
- Lead business operations and special projects across finance, administration, security, and domestic services to improve College facilities and programs.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, industry partners, and government bodies to support and promote College initiatives.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in financial management, strategic planning, and organisational leadership, preferably in a not-for-profit or government setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and engage and motivate staff to deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple priorities and projects effectively and efficiently across the colleges’ enterprises and diverse functional areas of domestic services, security and finance and administration.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (ASQA, AASB, ACNC, ATO).
Essential requirements:
- Degree qualification in Business Management, Accounting or other relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant working experience.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Capacity to obtain a Master Security License
- Current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel
