Trial By Fire Recruitment works exclusively within the joinery, shopfitting and cabinet making trades. Right now, we’re recruiting for a respected joinery company in Prestons with a strong pipeline of custom commercial and residential work. They’re after a skilled installer with experience in architectural fitouts and premium joinery.

This is a full-time role, not a short-term gig. You’ll be joining a company that plans properly, builds to spec, and expects the same attention to detail on site. We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to own the job from delivery through to final polish.

What you’ll be doing

Installing custom kitchens, vanities, wardrobes and detailed joinery

Reading and interpreting detailed plans and site drawings

Making accurate adjustments on the fly when needed

Working independently or with an install partner to deliver finished results

Communicating with PMs and factory staff to keep work flowing

What we’re looking for

Proven experience installing high-end joinery

Trade background in cabinet making or shopfitting

Own tools and transport

Strong problem-solving ability and pride in workmanship

Able to work without constant supervision and still deliver top-tier results

What’s on offer

$45 to $50 per hour depending on experience

Full-time hours with temp to perm path
