About the role

Join PSA BDP as a Health & Safety Officer in our Altona North, warehouse. This is a full-time entry-level or graduate role within our Contract Logistics team. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and contractors.

What you'll be doing

Performing risk assessments and developing safe work procedures

Conducting inspections and audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards

Investigating incidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions

Coordinating health and safety training to employees

Maintaining comprehensive health and safety records and reports

Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation

Collaborating with management and employees to continuously improve our safety performance

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field

Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, standards and best practices

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proactive and self-motivated with a genuine passion for health and safety

Prior experience in a similar role, or relevant internship/placement, is desirable

Knowledge in Dangerous Goods advantageous
