What You'll Do:

Foster local business relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, Trader Associations, and key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and support inclusive economic growth.

Implement Special Rate & Charge Schemes: Assist in the execution and renewal of Council's Special Rate & Charge Schemes in partnership with Trader Associations, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of outcomes.

Promote Inclusive Economic Growth: Collaborate with the Inclusive Enterprise & Local Economy team to deliver initiatives that stimulate local job opportunities and strengthen the local economy.

What you'll bring:

You're a natural connector with proven skills building strong, productive relationships across business, community, and government sectors. With insight into the challenges faced by small businesses and Trader Associations, you bring empathy and know-how to the table.

You champion inclusive economic development, creating opportunities for all. Skilled in juggling multiple projects with precision, you consistently deliver impactful results on time. Your communication skills shine—whether you're writing reports, presenting to stakeholders, or engaging at every level with clarity and confidence.

Please note that some out of standard hours work will be required to attend meetings and events.

Pre-employment requirements

  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence

What we offer:

  • A permanent full-time opportunity with a monthly RDO.
  • Salary range $94,475.99 - $102,712.38per annum plus super.

  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/2 weeks of paid parental leave – partner.

Banyule is less than 30 minutes travelling time from the CBD and it has an excellent public transport network with the Melbourne-Hurstbridge Railway Line running through it.
