About the Opportunity
Make a meaningful impact on community wellbeing in this dynamic role as an Environmental Health Officer. You'll play a key part in protecting public health through inspections, investigations, education, and enforcement across a wide range of legislative areas including food safety, disease control, wastewater management, and tobacco regulation. Working in a supportive team environment, you'll help implement strategic health initiatives, respond to emerging public health risks, and contribute to long-term planning and emergency response. What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

- A Graduate Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent qualification as listed in the Victoria Government Gazette No. G29 for appointment as an Environmental Health Officer.

- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development to maintain industry knowledge and professional skills.

- Member (or to be eligible to become a member) of Environmental Health Professionals Australia

- It is desirable to have two years’ experience working as an Environmental Health Officer.

- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one.

- Hold a current working with children’s check or willing to obtain one.

- Current Drivers Licence.

Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $93,602 to $101,911 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
