About the Role

A rewarding opportunity exists to join my dedicated support team, assisting me in daily life and helping me achieve my personal goals. I am a 63-year-old male with Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective disorder (treatment resistant), seeking reliable, compassionate, and proactive support workers to provide 1:1 assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and meal management

Engage in home activities like cooking and arts

Provide community access support, including attending medical appointments and grocery shopping

Help implement individualised development programs and positive behaviour support strategies

Maintain accurate records

About You

To thrive in this role, you should be reliable, patient, and adaptable, with a commitment to person-centred active support. You will follow a structured routine and assist in communication as needed.

Essential Requirements:

NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability Check

Current Driver’s Licence

First Aid & CPR Certification

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or equivalent

Dysphagia training

Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours

Desirable:

Flexible working availability

Familiarity with various support models
