Falls Creek Cross Country Centre - Windy Corner, is a premises leased by YMCA from the Falls Creek Resort Management Board. YMCA adopted the shelter lease at the beginning of the 2006 snow season and has operated the business successfully ever since.
The business includes a heated day shelter for private skiers, boarders and others visiting the winter alpine environment.
About the role:
Reporting to the Camps Manager the Falls Creek Cross Country Coordinator will be responsible for all operations that take place at Windy Corner Day Shelter. This task will include the management of approximately eight staff, group bookings, and site cleanliness, health and safety. Importantly, the manager will have a critical role in the delivery of high quality of visitor experiences. The Falls Creek Cross Country Co-ordinator will be required to quickly draw a small team of people together over a short but intense time. Unpredictable snow conditions can have a large bearing on this role.
The role has the option of being casual or a Maximum Term Contract. The hourly rate for this role is $30.97 plus super and if casual; a casual loading on top.
About You
You will be a recognised ski instructor and /or coaching qualification with demonstrated experience in, and commitment to the cross-country ski industry. In addition, you will have the ability to lead and motivate a dynamic team. Passionate about the winter/snow environment is an essential requirement.
