Acquire Strategic Accounting is a boutique public practice with offices in Morningside and Jimboomba, QLD. We're a small, friendly firm of under 15 staff who pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalised service to our diverse client base.

We're looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our Morningside office (relocating to Victoria Point by the end of 2025). You'll be part of a close-knit team of 1 Partner/Director, 3 Accountants (2x Senior and 1x Junior) and 3 Administration staff, and will play a key role in delivering end-to-end accounting services.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Preparing BAS, IAS, bookkeeping, and individual tax returns

Preparing basic trust and company tax returns

Managing your own portfolio of clients

Conducting client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships

Preparing financial statements and assisting with management reports

Maintaining general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and bookkeeping

Collaborating with team members across our Morningside and Jimboomba offices

Staying up-to-date on relevant legislation and compliance requirements

About You

We’re looking for a professional who is:

Experienced with 3–5 years in public practice accounting

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Proficient in Xero, MYOB, or similar software

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Known for having strong attention to detail

A clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills

Someone who brings a positive attitude and works well with others

Confident in client interactions and committed to delivering quality service
