Our Waihi Operation in the North Island of New Zealand is an underground operation. As an experienced Jumbo Operator, you'll safely and efficiently operate Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support as per mine standards. Bring your expertise, professionalism, and teamwork to deliver safe, high-quality results on time and on budget.

Key responsibilities

Ensure all headings bored are mined online and to grade.

Working accurately, with minimum overbreak to get the job done right first time.

Making sure that all headings mined comply with standards and are all work is performed safely.

Lead by example, mentoring less experienced operations team members to fulfil their responsibilities.

Qualifications

Full and current driver licence and confidence driving manual vehicles over rough terrain

Current First Aid Certificate

A minimum of 8 years underground mining experience, 2 of which operating a Jumbo.

Ability to install bolts and mesh and bore headings.

Proven experience operating Sandvik Jumbo Drills.
