The opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists to be at the top of your industry as an Electrical Inspector, for you to lead and support the electrical industry through your knowledge and skills that you have gained throughout your career.

The position provides the successful applicant a flexible, diverse and empowering opportunity to give back to the industry. Training and upskilling in Shock and Fire investigation, Medical, High Voltage and Hazardous installation inspections will be provided to you to allow you to grow in the position.

Skills and attributes:

• A Licensed Electrical Practitioner (electrician)
• A minimum 5 years post electrical trade working in the general electrical contracting industry
• Sound knowledge in the application and interpretation of relevant Australian Standards, particularly AS/NZS 3000 "The Wiring Rules"
• Knowledgeable in all relevant Tasmanian electrical safety legislation
• Able to work independently and also as a part of a productive team
• Physically able to inspect all required parts of an electrical installation
• Physically able to work at height
• Meet all the requirements of the Department of Justice to be appointed as an Authorised Officer under the Electricity Industry Safety and Administration Act and the Occupational Licensing Act
• Excellent communication skills, effective planning and organisational skills
• A current, unrestricted car driver’s license
