About the role

Fremantle Floors' in O'Connor, WA is seeking a full-time Cabinet Maker/ Trades assistant to join their team. You will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of high-quality custom stair treads and flooring products working alongside our experienced tradespeople.

What you'll be doing

Fabricate, assemble, staircase components treads, landings and stair nosing’s and other woodwork to client specifications

Operate power tools and machinery to cut, shape and finish wood materials

Read and interpret technical drawings and plans

Measure, mark and cut materials with precision

Assist other tradespeople with installation and finishing work as needed

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Cabinet Making or a related trade

Demonstrated experience in custom cabinetry and furniture making

Proficient in the use of power tools and woodworking machinery

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

Good communication and teamwork skills

A keen eye for design and an understanding of current industry trends
