A forward-thinking project and cost management construction consultancy are looking to add an ambitious Full time Quantity Surveyor to their growing team in Perth and Bunbury.
The role of the Quantity Surveyor
The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a medium sized Quantity Surveying cost management construction consultancy, who are looking to grow and expand the team, with a strong ongoing pipeline of work.
As a company they cover a range of sectors including Health, Industrial, Residential, Hospitality, Commercial, and Culture & Arts. The Quantity Surveyor will be delivering projects in a range of these sectors.
With support from a MRICS Partner, the Quantity Surveyor will be running projects through the pre and post contract stages, strengthening knowledge and experience.
This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who is looking for more responsibility, autonomy and to move forward expanding their Industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management: Effectively manage project costs, ensuring budgets are adhered to and cost control measures are in place throughout the project lifecycle.
Employers Agent: Provide expertise as an Employers Agent, coordinating and managing the contractual aspects of projects, including issuing instructions and ensuring compliance.
Contract Administration: Oversee the contractual processes, including procurement, tendering, and contract management, ensuring they are carried out efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
Sector Diversification: Work across various sectors from new build commercial developments, CAT A through to high end residential developments.
Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks related to costs, contracts, and project deliverables.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, financial analysis, and cost forecasts to keep stakeholders informed and support effective decision-making.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure project success.
The Quantity Surveyor
BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying or accredited degree
Experience working in the Private Sector
Experience within a private practice / consultancy
Strong Pre and post contract knowledge
