About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for appropriately experienced Medical Officers to join South West Healthcare's Mental Health Service as a Psychiatric Registrar (1st Year) in 2026. Working across our adult inpatient and community mental health teams. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop a career in mental health.
South West Healthcare's Mental Health has an established reputation for providing an innovative, integrated approach to community based and client centred service delivery. Working closely with the families and carers of consumers within a recovery framework, our service is also renowned for its integrated model of care and the provision of extensive services across a broad demographic client base. The successful applicant must have demonstrable experience operating from the recovery-informed clinical platform in their work with consumers and carers.
We are seeking a motivated candidate in a full time one year position.
What you bring
As a developing physician you will have a patient centred propensity as well as a collaborative approach to psychiatry. You will have suitable experience in the provision of high-quality mental health assessment and treatment and be enrolled with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) training pathway, supervised & mentored by highly experienced consultant psychiatrists.
