Due to sustained growth and strong market demand, we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our successful and collaborative team in Brisbane.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in assessing damage on-site, preparing detailed scopes of work, and estimating repair costs. You’ll ensure that all repairs are accurately documented and executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site assessments and prepare comprehensive insurance assessment reports
• Estimate repair costs and create scopes of work for damaged properties
• Coordinate and manage trades throughout the restoration process
• Monitor job progress, negotiate with trades, and resolve issues as needed
• Liaise effectively between insurers and insured parties
• Manage property access and communication with clients
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and contractual OH&S requirements
• Obtain final inspections and required documentation from building surveyors

The Candidate

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a solid background in estimating. Insurance building experience is highly desirable, but not essential.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an estimating role
• Trade qualification in building (carpentry preferred) or a related field
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Sound knowledge of OH&S legislation and regulations
• Understanding of market rates and trade practices
• Ability to provide accurate cost estimates without relying on external quotes
• Proficiency in relevant software and strong computer skills
• A current and valid driver’s license
