We empower young people to take control of their future by offering them the holistic support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Specifics of the role

Have the skills and capacity to build relationships with young people in our Crisis Accommodation Services

Have cultural competency and experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds including First Nations, CaLD and LGBTIQ

Providing trauma-informed and person centred support to young people with complex needs

Appropriate skills to manage conflict as well as advocate and negotiate for the young people in our service

Support and guide young people towards improving their life skills and achieving their goals

Maintain professional case notes and record keeping ensuring compliance in the service

What you will need

Qualifications in youth work, or related fields

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proven capacity to work independently and appropriately respond to crises as necessary

An understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people accessing the service

Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays

Current WA ‘C’ Drivers Licence

Current Working with Children Card
