College of Medicine and Public Health

About the Role
The General Practice Academic Coordinator for the Doctor of Medicine Program will play a key role in promoting engagement with general practice in both curriculum delivery and student experience, particularly in Years 2 and 3, though not exclusively. The appointee will be expected to work collaboratively with academic staff within the College's Discipline of General Practice, as well as with Year Level Coordinators and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of the Doctor of Medicine Program's objectives.

About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Completion of a medical degree (Doctor of Medicine or equivalent).
• Experience in delivering high quality education activities in a medical or health related tertiary education environment.
• Evidence of an ability to lead, coordinate and deliver medical or health profession education and training in a health service environment
• Demonstrated understanding of curriculum reviews and internal and external accreditation activities.
• Exhibited a clear understanding of the interconnectedness of teaching, learning, research, and scholarship.
