About the role

Mlakar Fabrication is seeking a diligent and motivated Sheetmetal Fabrication Apprentice to join our team in Rocklea, Queensland. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that will provide hands-on training and development in the sheetmetal fabrication trade. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople and learn the essential skills required to become a qualified sheetmetal welder.

What you'll be doing

Assisting in the fabrication and assembly of various sheetmetal products.

Gaining experience in the operation of machinery and tools used in sheetmetal fabrication.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Developing proficiency in cutting, bending, and joining sheetmetal components.

Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Participating in on-the-job training and attending vocational education classes.

Completing all tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.

What we're looking for

Strong interest and enthusiasm for a career in the sheetmetal fabrication trade.

Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

Willingness to learn and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship.

Physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.
