The Pittard Rush Group Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and dedicated Maintenance Attendant to join our operations team at the Airlie Beach Lagoon, a high-profile public aquatic facility in North Queensland.

This is a casual position with negotiable hours, offering flexibility and a great opportunity to work in an outdoor, team-oriented environment. For the right candidate, we can offer 25–35 hours per week.

Start date: 16th of June.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct pool water testing and chemical dosing in line with national standards

Perform cleaning duties including vacuuming, pressure washing, debris removal, and maintaining general hygiene of the facility

Assist with routine maintenance tasks, basic repairs, and upkeep of public amenities

Monitor and report on the functionality of plant room systems, filters, pumps, and equipment

Complete daily safety and cleanliness checklists and maintain accurate logs

Work closely with the lifeguard team to ensure high safety and presentation standards

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong attention to detail

Ability to follow directions but also work autonomously and efficiently

Demonstrated reliability and punctuality

Willingness to work early mornings or weekends if required

Reasonable level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks in an outdoor environment

Availability on weekends is a must

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

Aquatic Technical Operator qualification (or willingness to obtain)

Prior experience in pool maintenance or similar facility environment

AWARD & REMUNERATION:

This position falls under the Fitness Industry Award 2020 – Level 3.
Hourly rate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
