Your new role

This HR Labourer role offers a hands-on opportunity to support essential civil construction projects by combining truck driving and on-site labouring responsibilities. The successful candidate will split their day between operating a heavy rigid (HR) vehicle--transporting materials to and from job sites--and assisting with manual labour tasks such as digging and trench preparation. Approximately four hours each day will be spent driving, with the remainder dedicated to shovel-based labouring alongside a tight-knit site crew. This dual-function role plays a critical part in maintaining project timelines and ensuring material availability for active works. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in varied conditions. Reporting to the site supervisor and working collaboratively with machine operators and ground crew, this position supports the smooth delivery of key infrastructure projects, contributing directly to the company's reputation for timely, high-quality results.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence
• Temp to perm for the right candidate
• Proven ability to perform physical labour and use a shovel for digging tasks
• Comfortable working in a role split between driving and labouring
• Strong understanding of safe driving and load transport practices
• Physically fit
• Ability to manage time effectively across split responsibilities
• Positive attitude and commitment to safety standards
• Previous experience in civil or construction environments is advantageous
