About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is keen to learn, and has a confident and positive attitude. The successful candidate must also have:

the ability to learn quickly and on-the-job

excellent attention to detail

a commitment to customer service

a flexible attitude, ability to work independently and show initiative

sound financial literacy and written communication ability, and

good computer, organisation and admin skills.

A background in sales or bathroom showroom/design/renovations is desirable, but not necessary.

As the role involves lifting and moving products, you need to be physically capable of manual handling and mindful of occupational safety and health requirements.

Duties

This is a dynamic, varied and hands-on sales role that involves:

selling plumbing fixtures, including tapware, toilets, baths and basins

working with customers, architects and designers to prepare product selections for new home and renovation projects

preparing proposals, product and design presentations, and scopes of work for projects (Xero, Word and Publisher)

acquiring and maintaining a knowledge of product ranges, design trends and plumbing requirements for products, and

general up-keep of displays and the showroom.

Hours and salary

The successful applicant must be able to work Tuesdays 9am-4pm. plus 2 other weekdays 9am-4pm and be available for occasional Saturday work, 10am-1pm.

The base salary will be commensurate with relevant experience.
