What you'll be doing
Step into a pivotal role as a Clinical Pharmacist β Cardiology at Westmead Hospital, where you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment.
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to the Cardiology Unit
- Ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication management
- Actively engage in clinical governance, research, and education
- Develop protocols, promote stewardship, and support quality care
- Mentor staff, collaborate with teams, and support continuous improvement

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
- Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
- Demonstrated experience in clinical hospital pharmacy practice in cardiology or equivalent extensive clinical experience.
- Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change.
- Excellent time management with attention to detail.
