What You'll Do
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their legal career to gain real-world experience in a collaborative, mission-driven legal team. You'll work across a variety of legal areas, supporting services that directly impact the lives of children, families, seniors, and vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with legal administration including intake forms, conflict checks, and file management
- Drafting correspondence, preparing briefs, and filing court documents
- Conducting legal research and supporting regulatory submissions
- Maintaining accurate records and assisting with internal stakeholder communications
- Supporting the Legal Team in advising on child protection, aged care, housing, and more
- Coordinating meetings, managing documentation, and contributing to team projects
About You
You're organized, curious, and values-aligned — someone who wants to grow their legal skills while contributing to a greater purpose. Whether you're a recent graduate, a student nearing completion, or returning to the workforce, you're looking for a role where your work has meaning and your team has heart.
What You'll Bring
- Relevant experience in legal administration or paralegal support
- Tertiary qualification in paralegal studies (or working towards) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to our mission and values
Desirable
- Experience in a not-for-profit or in-house legal environment
- Understanding of legislation relevant to child protection, aged care, or housing
Other Requirements:
- A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
