Support Worker – After School Shifts (Swan View)

We are on the lookout for a calm, confident, and compassionate female support worker to assist a young participant in her home environment after school.

This is a hands-on role supporting an energetic 8-year-old girl with additional needs, including Autism (Level 2), ADHD and FASD. She thrives with routine, patience and lots of movement, and can present with behaviours that require a calm, consistent and trauma-informed approach.

You will be supporting her with daily activities, helping her stay engaged and regulated, and contributing to a safe, low-distraction environment at home. There may also be light household tasks involved, such as helping keep her room tidy and safe.

About the Role

Supporting the Participant after school, helping her transition calmly into her evening routine

Some days may involve taking her to scheduled after-school activities

Encouraging engagement in sensory-friendly and stimulating activities

Maintaining a peaceful, low-distraction environment at home

Light household support/domestic duties

Shifts

Monday to Friday 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience (or is studying in) disability, education or youth work

Understands neurodiversity and is comfortable supporting emotional regulation

Can think on their feet and bring structure to unstructured moments

Builds rapport quickly and communicates clearly

Requirements

Australian Driver’s Licence + reliable vehicle

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)

Working With Children Check

National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
