The Opportunity

As an experienced Production Technician with knowledge of the operation, you may be required to assist Mechanical Engineers with the installation start-ups of mechanical equipment and plant, including after major servicing.

Production Technicians will need to be able to collect and analyse data to continuously improve in how the operation sets up, monitors, adjusts, operates and troubleshoots Filling and Production Equipment to achieve planned volumes, including.

Operation of Tetra Pak equipment, for either processing or UHT packaging

Ensuring that product quality is maintained by following SOPs and ensuring cleaning and sanitation schedules are met

Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems

Fault finding and troubleshooting on equipment when required

Ensure products and batch changes are correctly managed and authorised

Perform routine in-process checks during production

Ensure that production is undertaken following all quality guidelines and regulations

Manage product sampling requirements

Maintain, run and co-ordinate weekly care program including organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant within your area of operation

Daily care and day to day routine up-keep of equipment.

What you’ll bring

Significant experience in a manufacturing environment

Minimum 4 years processing experience in a high-speed processing and packaging environment

Qualification in technical maintenance of Food Processing or Competitive Manufacturing preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

Knowledge of area equipment, Tetra-Pak or similar high-speed processing and automated processing equipment

Ability to motivate and engage team members to meet the team objectives

Sound communication skills

Ability to influence and work with a diverse range of people effectively

Ability to mentor and develop team leaders/members

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Sound time management and prioritisation skills

Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and safety standards
