Location: Tasmania

Ideally located in Northern Tasmania, the location is flexible (within Tasmania) for the right candidate.

The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) in partnership with the Tasmanian Government Department of State Growth are contracted by AusTrade to deliver TradeStart services in Tasmania. We are seeking a TradeStart Advisor on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) until 30 June 2027.

About the role

As an experienced TradeStart Advisor you will be responsible for supporting Tasmanian export aspirations through Trade Tasmania’s and Austrade’s TradeStart networks and services.

You will represent the TCCI, Tasmanian Government and Austrade’s TradeStart network to provide informed trade advice to Tasmanian businesses to support them in their export journey whether it be on becoming market-ready or expanding into new markets.

You will have extensive experience exporting to multiple markets and a thorough understanding of industry challenges and opportunities are essential to the success of this role.

You will be employed by the TCCI, working as part of the Trade Tasmania team with the Southern based TradeStart Advisor

Desirable Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in economics, business management, project management or similar.

Industry-recognised qualifications and affiliations

An understanding of supply chain, freight and logistics

An understanding of Tasmanian trade challenges and opportunities

Strong Tasmanian business and industry association relationships

Australian citizen to meet Austrade security clearance requirements.

Unencumbered Australian driver’s licence.

Extensive experience exporting to multiple markets and a thorough understanding of industry challenges and opportunities are essential to the success of this role.
