An exciting opportunity has opened up with a thriving Design and Construction firm as a Senior Interior Designer due to rapid growth and huge upcoming projects. They are on the lookout for someone that has passion for commercial fit-outs and wants to grow in their close-knit team. This opportunity will offer you the experience to be hands on, part of the design decisions, drive project outcomes – rather than just being a number in a team.

The Role:
As a Senior Interior Designer, you are ultimately responsible for the successful design and documentation of all projects which includes DA approval and tendering drawings ensuring projects are being documented correctly. You are responsible for ensuring these projects are designed within time frame, budget, and most importantly to standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring your projects are designed to scope, budget, and time frame.
• Meeting with clients and other tradespeople such as architects or builders to discuss the needs of the client.
• Use computer applications/design software (such as ArchiCAD / AutoCAD) to create models and visuals.
• Researching and preparing plans, diagrams or sketches for interior constructions, materials, finishes, lighting and furnishing.
• Selecting suppliers of materials and finishes.
• Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
• Ensuring project documentation and administration is set up completely.
• Coaching, mentoring, and upskilling your team.
  
  

What you'll have to be successful:

You will be someone who has commercial fit-out project experience. You enjoy working as a team and are able to work across a variety of projects.

• 8+ years experience in a similar role
• Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or relevant
• Australian experience and knowledge of the local building codes
• Proficient in softwares including ArchiCAD, AutoCAD or Revit
• Experience in commercial fitouts, specificially workplace
• Must have full Australian working rights
