About the role

Dynamic and faith-driven leaders are invited to apply for the role of Director of Campus at our Tyabb Campus. This pivotal leadership position offers the opportunity to shape a vibrant Catholic learning community, fostering holistic student growth through innovative teaching, pastoral care, and community engagement. As a key member of the College Improvement Team, you will lead with vision, compassion, and a commitment to educational excellence. This is a tenured Position of Leadership Level 6 with a teaching allotment and an ongoing teaching appointment. This position will commence in Term 4, 2025.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The Director of Innovation is a College-wide position at the forefront of the implementation of our Mission and Vision and Educational Strategic Plan. The Director of Innovation will be a future-focused and collaborative leader, driven by a passion for educational innovation and committed to implementing forward-thinking pedagogy, programs, and technologies that enhance student outcomes, engagement, and professional practice. The Director of Innovation will contribute to shaping and advancing key elements of student learning across all year levels—particularly those connected to future-ready capabilities, including career development, personalised learning opportunities, and emerging educational pathways and platforms.

The Director of Innovation reports to the Vice Principal - Staff, Strategy and Development and is a key member of the Learning and Teaching Executive.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Director of Innovation’s major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

managing the investigation, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs/school improvement projects/initiatives to maximise student learning and engagement across the College;

in consultation with the Learning and Teaching Executive, and other relevant Executive Teams, investigate, design, and implement innovative learning programs and models across the College;

in conjunction with the Learning and Teaching Executive, leading the analysis of data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning practices to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes;

maximising programs, curriculum design and instructional practices to challenge and enhance all learners;

in collaboration with the Executive Vice Principal - Staff, Strategy and Development, implementing and leading whole school staff professional learning; and

performing other day-to-day duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team..

SALARY REMUNERATION: According to the CEMEA 2022, $85,801.00 - $97,730.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation. POL 6 is $19,066.00 per annum.

Teachers are supported by the Learning Leaders, the Assistant Heads of Campus (Learning and Pedagogy), Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus), and the Vice Principal (Learning and Teaching) across the College in the development, implementation, and teaching of the curriculum.

They are also supported by the House Coordinators, Assistant Heads of Campus (Student Wellbeing and Growth), the Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus) and the Vice Principal – Students, in the pastoral care and discipline of students, as well as the smooth and effective management of classes.
