Harbour Early Learning Vaucluse Diploma Educator

Harbour Early Learning is state of the art and a recently completed purpose-built centre. Our landmark building is located on Village High Road in Vaucluse. We are a 97-place centre and our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We are open 52 weeks a year, except for Public Holidays.

We are seeking experienced and motivated Diploma qualified educators and lead educators to join a professional and dedicated team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators. The position is full time 38 hrs, 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will have the privilege of working with like-minded collaborators who are setting the new benchmark for early learning.

Qualifications & Experience

§ Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

§ Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training, or willingness to obtain.

§ Current Child Protection training or willingness to obtain.

§ Clear Working with Children Check.

§ Clear National Police Check.

§ Australian citizen or permanent residents are encouraged to apply.

§ At least 1 year of previous experience working with children aged Birth to 5 years.

§ Genuine willingness to work with any age groups (including Birth to 2 years).

§ Sound computer literacy skills related to documentation and program planning.

§ Demonstrated understanding of current education and care legislation regulations and guidelines.

§ High level interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability.

§ Effective implementation of theory and research-based pedagogy.

Tasks & Responsibilities

§ Create an environment that acknowledges and encourages each and every child’s agency and participation.

§ Facilitate and document learning opportunities founded on children's interests.

§ Work collaboratively with a team of ECT and Diploma qualified professionals.

§ Develop and maintain positive and welcoming relationships with families.

§ Follow centre’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
