Cobdenhealth is an all-inclusive health service providing quality care and well-being options for the local community and south west Victoria.
We provide exceptional care in our accredited 60 bed residential aged care facility and support people in their own homes by managing and delivering Home Care Packages (HCP). Our diverse range of allied health, counselling, therapeutic, dental prosthetics and community services support our community to achieve their health goals.
THE ROLE
The fixed term role as Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the quality, safety, risk management, and compliance programs within the facility. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our care services are not only compliant with current legislation but are also aligned with best practice standards and continuous improvement frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage the facility's quality assurance programs, ensuring they align with aged care standards and regulations.
Play a central role in implementing, managing and administering the Quality Management System (QMS), including monitoring compliance, risk and audits, ensuring high standards of care are consistently met.
Lead internal audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential risks.
Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, including the Aged Care Quality Standards, Work Health and Safety legislation, and relevant state and federal guidelines including (ACQS; NSQHS; AGPAL).
Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and manage employee training in quality management systems.
Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to implement strategies that enhance the facility’s performance and reputation.
Drive the facility’s incident management and resolution process, ensuring timely, thorough investigations and corrective actions.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in quality management, safety, risk, or compliance roles preferably within the aged care or healthcare sector.
Detailed knowledge of the ACQS, NSQHS, AGPAL and specific accreditation requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, residents, families, and external regulatory bodies.
A proactive, process and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Aged Care, or a related field (preferred).
