About Us

Generations Early Learning, established by Rural Care Australia in 2021, is one of the country’s first rural Intergenerational Early Learning Centres. Based in Merbein, VIC, and co-located with Chaffey Aged Care, our centre brings children and aged care residents together through meaningful, shared experiences.

We are a 72-place, not-for-profit long day care centre offering care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, including a Kindergarten program for ages 3–6. Our unique intergenerational approach supports learning, connection, and community.

About You

As our next Early Childhood Educator, you are in possession of:

• A compassionate, caring and respectful nature

• A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification – or - working towards a Diploma qualification;

• Demonstrated experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in a long day care or preschool setting;

• A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues;

• Creativity and a passion for providing high-quality early childhood education;

• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications, and;

• A valid Victorian Working with Children Check.

An understanding of occupational health and safety and reporting requirements is also a vital capability of yours!
