About the Role
As the Manager, Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare services within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Reporting to the Director, Improvement and Planning, you will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based approaches to health service commissioning, capacity and service planning, monitoring and evaluation. Your work will be guided by statewide frameworks and strategies, clinical service models, and CALHN’s strategic objectives, ensuring that our health services are well-positioned to meet current and future community needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for health system improvement. You will lead the delivery of high-quality data analysis, modelling, and insights to inform service design and transformation across the network. Collaborating with clinical programs and corporate teams, you will help build organisational capability, support service innovation, and drive performance excellence. Your contribution will be instrumental in identifying opportunities and managing risks, as you influence meaningful, system-wide improvements across CALHN.
About You
You’re a strategic and solutions-focused professional with a strong background in health or business administration. You thrive in complex environments, bringing together teams, data, and insight to drive meaningful improvements across healthcare services.
Leadership & Communication: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, supported by exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
Project & Service Planning Expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading multifaceted clinical service planning and health projects within large, complex healthcare environments.
Data & Analytical Proficiency: Advanced ability to manage, analyse and interpret complex health datasets, including predictive modelling and demand forecasting to support evidence-based decisions.
Knowledge & System Understanding: Strong understanding of SA Health strategies, systems, and datasets, including the broader health and wellbeing landscape across South Australia.
