Production Technician- Cell Therapies

An exciting opportunity is currently available for a Production Technician to join the Cell Therapies team at Hudson Institute of Medical Research, Australia's leading Medical Research Institute:

As a Production Technician, you’ll be involved in the aseptic processing and cryopreservation of human cells in an IS 15189-compliant and ISO 8-certified cleanroom environment. You’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to improving patient outcomes through high-quality, cutting-edge cellular therapies.

The Production Technician will report to the Service Operations Manager and maintain close working relationships with the production, quality and laboratory teams.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The role will suit someone who is:

Qualifications desired:

· Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science or a related field, or equivalent lab experience.

· Experience working in a regulated lab environment (e.g., pathology, transfusion, cell therapy).

· WWCC and National Police Check (required).

Your responsibilities include:

· Aseptic manipulation and processing of human cells in an ISO 8 cleanroom.

· Prepare and maintain critical production materials and equipment.

· Support day-to-day facility operations – cleaning, monitoring, inventory, and equipment maintenance.

· Maintain accurate GMP- and ISO15189-compliant documentation, including batch records and logs

· Contribute to environmental monitoring, calibration, and continuous improvement initiatives

· Work flexibly to meet clinical demands and timelines, including some after-hours and weekends.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

This position is a fixed term contract role in a Part time (0.6 FTE) capacity. Salary is based on Scientific Support Group ranging in TAP 4 dependent on level of experience. Superannuation of 11.5% and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
