- Permanent Full-Time 38 hours per week
- Attractive salary ranging from $1,141.00 up to $1,400.00
- 11.5% Superannuation Contribution
- Rostered day off - every 2 weeks.

Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a reliable and dedicated Truck Driver to join our Infrastructure team.
- Safely operate and manoeuvre council trucks to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to various work sites
- Adhere to all relevant road rules and regulations while driving council vehicles
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from the truck as required
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the assigned vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness
- Report any vehicle defects or malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor for timely repairs
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and completion of tasks within set deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of goods transported, vehicle inspections, and any incidents that occur during transportation
- Proven experience in operating heavy vehicles, preferably within a local government or similar setting
- Sound knowledge of safety procedures related to truck operations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

The ideal candidate would have:
- Relevant experience in operating trucks competently and safely under all conditions, with the ability to carry out general maintenance including but not limited to: Truck Trailer Combination and/or Water Truck and/or Powder Spreader and/or Low Loader Truck
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to problem solve.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and unsupervised.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures.
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritise works, communicate and work under conflicting time pressures.
- Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision.
- Sound literacy, numeracy and computer skills with the ability to keep accurate records including daily running sheets, fuel usage, timesheets and any other applicable paperwork.
Ticket, Licences and Certificates:
- Current Class HR (Heavy Rigid) Or Class HC (Heavy Combination) Drivers Licence.
- Traffic Controller Cards including Traffic Controller & Implement Traffic Control Plans
- White Card (General Construction and Induction Card) - please note, you can obtain your White Card during the application process if you do not hold a White Card.
Immunisations required:
- Ability to provide evidence of vaccination/immunisation for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus. This includes maintaining the currency of these throughout your period of employment.
