About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to support Community and Oral Health and more broadly Metro North Health to promote and implement community engagement programs with targeted culturally appropriate and safe content and engagement activities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Support and provide input into Community and Oral Health action response towards Health Equity and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Provide advice, education, training and support to ensure services are aware of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural protocols when engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate effective culturally appropriate education and training packages to educate Community and Oral Health staff.
  • Support staff with implementing and providing culturally appropriate and equitable care pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
