The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a Consultant or VMO Interventional Cardiologist to provide locum coverage across flexible dates from June to December 2025. This includes general cardiology and STEMI on-call coverage.

• $2,500 per day (24-hour period) – NSW Health capped rate
• Accommodation, hire car, and travel reimbursement included
• Rostered hours: 08:00–17:00 daily + overnight on-call (when scheduled)
• Weekend shifts with on-call may be included
• Clinical duties include inpatient cardiology, emergency presentations, and ward rounds
• Involvement in the supervision and training of Junior Medical Officers is expected

This is a Level 5 regional referral hospital with:

• Cardiac Catheterisation Lab, ICU/CCU, and modern surgical facilities
• A Level 5 Emergency Department with trauma capability and rooftop helipad
• Full access to specialties and subspecialties, serving as a key referral centre for the Northern NSW region

Eligibility Criteria:

• Specialist AHPRA Registration
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP – Cardiology) or equivalent
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• National Criminal Record Check
