Salary: Earn up to $106,045 gross per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience

o Temporary accommodation, up to 8 weeks + Relocation assistance to help you get to Broken Hill

o Working M-F, 8.30am to 5.00pm only + 5 weeks paid annual leave per year + ADOs

o Additional leave over the Christmas period.

Summary: Our multidisciplinary team is looking for a RN with experience working with children and their families in a primary health setting and supporting clinics to join us to provide a quality health service to the Aboriginal families.

About Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation

Maari Ma Health is an Aboriginal community-controlled regional health service that has been providing a quality service to the Aboriginal people of far western New South Wales for more than 20 years and employs over 140 people within the region.

About the role

The position works in the main adult clinic and predominantly works across the clinic and community service domains. The position is responsible for working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team, to deliver the full range of:

· Services to patients attending the acute care and booked clinics.

· Cycle of care health checks (preventive and management).

· Domiciliary care services to patients in the community.

· Chronic disease management and proactive care follow-up.

Incentives for this position

· Retention bonus of $10,00 paid following 1 and 2 years of full-time service

· Temporary accommodation for up to 8 weeks

· Relocation assistance to help you get to Broken Hill

· Home base travel allowance to keep in touch with your family - $600 allowance on completion of each 6 months of service for 2 years.

Skills and experience

· Current unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

· Have, or be prepared to actively pursue authorisation as an immunisation provider in New South Wales to achieve within 6 months.

· Ability and willingness to enable Aboriginal Health Practitioners who are credentialed vaccinators, to immunize under RN order.

· Ability to work with Aboriginal staff and communities in a way that fosters mutual respect.

· Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of primary health care and how they apply to the prevention and management of chronic disease.

· Recognised credentials in a preceptorship role or ability to complete a certified Preceptorship course within the first twelve months of employment.

· Demonstrated ability to share your skills and knowledge and teach Aboriginal Health Worker Trainees in the workplace.

· Ability to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to establish systems and protocols for the effective running of the acute clinic and community based setting and integrating it with all other areas of the Primary Health Care Service.

· Computing skills relevant to the position and competent in the use of information and communication technology including Microsoft Word, email and internet applications and the ability to quickly acquire skills in other applications.

Maari Ma offers a great range of benefits

· Annual salary up to $106,045 gross per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience.

· Working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm only, no shift weekend or on call.

This historic town is great for all ages and has several day-cares, primary schools, high schools, and TAFE. Beyond Broken Hill and on your doorstep, you can discover spectacular and culturally significant national parks, lush rivers and lakes, abundant wildlife, and other classic towns of outback New South Wales and beyond. Broken Hill has an airport servicing both Qantas and Rex with two-three flights a day from Sydney and Adelaide and is only a 5-hour drive from Adelaide.
