Outreach Physiotherapy is a both a clinic and mobile, community-focused practice delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across the Greater Darwin region and remote Northern Territory communities. We support people of all ages, with a particular focus on children and adults living with disability. Our mission is to enhance independence, confidence, and wellbeing through evidence-based, culturally responsive care delivered in homes, schools, community settings, and remote communities.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our dynamic team. You will work alongside a team of experienced physiotherapists to support clients of all ages — from young children to adults — in achieving their therapy goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering physiotherapy exercise programs and activities for children and adults

Implementing therapy plans in home, school, clinic, and community settings

Preparing and maintaining therapy equipment and materials

Encouraging client engagement and participation in exercises

Creating visual aids and therapy resources to support client therapy sessions

Liaising with treating physiotherapists to monitor progress and share feedback

Accurately recording session notes and client responses

About You

We’re looking for someone who is people-focused, adaptable, and passionate about making a difference.

Essential:

Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or working towards), with relevant experience in disability, health, or community support settings

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds

Ability to work independently and follow clinical instructions

Valid NT driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and remotely

Current Working with Children Check (Ochre Card) and First Aid certificate

Desirable:

Experience in paediatrics, disability, or community health
