We have a wonderful after school art program and are seeking exceptional Visual Art Teachers to join our team. This position is to teach art to children from 4 to 14yrs.
* Start date: Term 3, 2025. Work is on a contract or part-time basis Monday to Thursday after school. There is also extra work available in the school holidays or weekends if desired. We are seeking teachers in these areas Currambine, Piara Waters and Wilagee.
We are seeking teachers who are passionate about art. You will need a knowledge of the following materials and techniques: clay, printmaking, acrylic and watercolour painting, drawing, and sculpture. You will also need to be open to learning new skills and techniques.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work independently with our small, friendly team. Our classes have a maximum of 14 children per class who love art. All lesson plans and materials are provided, no marking, no playground duty, no purchasing of materials, no reports, just teaching!
There is a paid, induction and term planning meeting. Classes run for up to two hours after school and cater for children from 5 - 8yrs or 9-14 years.

🧑🏫 Selection Criteria
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Visual Arts, or
Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education, B.Ed, or a Master's in Primary Teaching
Experience:
Proven teaching experience in visual arts
Experience in relief or full-time teaching roles
Skills & Attributes:
Strong knowledge of art processes and techniques (e.g., clay, printmaking, acrylic and watercolour painting, drawing, sculpture)
Creative, organized, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
Australian Business Number (ABN) if applying as a contractor
