About the role

Bridgeport Building and Maintenance is seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our fantastic team, based in North Brisbane.

Bridgeport Building is a trusted, family owned and operated business with a reputation for delivering high quality, custom renovations and maintenance to our clients and with a focus on client experience. Our projects are largely on the Northside of Brisbane or within 30-50kms of Brighton (where our office is based). We pride ourselves on our high quality craftsmanship, from the commencement of project, down to the final finishes and we are seeking a like-minded, talented, quality focussed Carpenter.

This is a full-time role, and you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of residential carpentry and commercial maintenance.

What you'll be doing

Undertaking carpentry tasks to a high standard as a part of larger and smaller renovation projects including smaller maintenance works. Working as a part of a team to deliver exceptional, quality results.

Reading and interpreting plans and instructions

Collaborating with the wider team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Carpentry

Proven experience in residential renovation work, with a focus on high quality results and working on various renovation projects from start to finish.

Experience in Commercial maintenance carpentry is desirable, but not required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise specifications

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven teamwork skills

A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
