Job Description:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift maintenance and repair, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality service to our clients. As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be required on the road and in the workshop to play a vital role in keeping our clients' equipment in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment on site & in the workshop

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, gas, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

- Be able to liaise with the service department to replace damaged or worn-out parts.

- Conduct safety inspections to ensure equipment compliance with industry standards.

- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using Aroflo

- Assist with equipment assembly and disassembly when needed.

Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Cert III in Forklift Technology or Certificate III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

- Qualification & experience in LPG Fuel systems skill set preferred but not essential.

- Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of forklift systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical components.

- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.

- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

- Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to safety protocols.

- Forklift licence preferred but not essential

- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
