About the role

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Part-Time Bus Driver to join our team at The Community Transport Company in Tweed Heads, NSW. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey. This is a crucial role that contributes to the efficient and dependable public transport services we provide to the local community.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles according to traffic regulations and company policies

Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, assisting with boarding, seating, and any special needs

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness

Maintain accurate trip logs and records

Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and respond promptly to any schedule changes or route modifications

Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the passenger transport service

What we're looking for

A current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

Previous experience as a professional bus or commercial vehicle driver, preferably in a public transport or community service setting

Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, patient demeanor

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures and regulations

Reliable and punctual, with a flexible approach to working hours

Effective communication and problem-solving skills
