Position Summary

The AIHW has several opportunities available and is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Project Officers and Data Analysts to join our team. The successful candidates will have an induction and be supported to develop and learn through formal training and on the job learning. We have various roles available across data and technical project areas.

Project Officers will support data and technical projects and programs by undertaking tasks such as:

  • planning, managing, and coordinating projects and programs.
  • contributing to research, project tools, monitoring and evaluation
  • creating communications and documentation to support project delivery
  • providing administrative and professional support
  • represent the AIHW and liaise with internal and external parties.

Data analyst roles will undertake research and the collection and analysis of data and assist in preparing papers and resource materials including tasks such as:

  • performing data cleansing, harmonisation, management and analysis
  • documenting processes and data quality information
  • presenting findings, analysis and insights to inform recommendations
  • effectively communicating technical information to different audiences with varied levels of technical knowledge and expertise
  • designing an analysis dataset from the pilot data.

Experience with using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and SharePoint and other data and project management related systems will be highly regarded.
